NOTICE OF POSSIBLE TELEPHONIC PARTICIPATION
Pursuant to Section 418.016 of the Texas Government Code, on March 16, 2020, the Governor of the State of Texas granted the Office of the Attorney General's request for the temporary suspension of certain provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Act to allow for telephonic or videoconference meetings of governmental bodies that are accessible to the public in an effort to reduce in-person meetings that assemble large groups of people, as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of novel coronavirus COVID-19.
As that temporary suspension remains in effect, notice is hereby given that individual members of the Board of Adjustment of the City of Bellaire, Texas, may choose to participate in this Regular Session telephonically rather than in person.
Additionally, members of the public will be entitled to participate and address the Board, either telephonically or in person, at the time for public comment at the time for personal/audience comments. Any person desiring to address the Board telephonically must submit their request via e-mail to [email protected]
The request must be received prior to the posted start time of the meeting, include the speaker's full name and the phone number from which they will be calling in to participate in the meeting. Speakers will be recognized in the order in which their requests are received.
